Building a bridge from person to persons

Peace in the Holy Land – who does not hope for real peace between Israelis and Palestinians? To achieve this many more bridges of understanding must be built and pursued as mutual mistrust runs deep on both sides. This is the basis of the scheme for the planned kindergarten in Neve Shalom/Wahat al Salam, where Jewish, Christian and Muslim children learn to livetogether peacefully. The planning of the kindergarten has now progressed so far that with God's help the kindergarten will open by the end of 2012.

Jalil, “The Peace Cook”, could already collect more than two thirds of the building costs through donations, church grants, collections, membership fees and proceeds from his cooking campaigns.

In order to realise his dream of an interreligious kindergarten as soon as possible the registered society of “ABRAHAMSZELT (Abraham’s tent) - Friends and Sponsors of the interreligious kindergarten in Israel” was founded on April 1^st, 2003.
